When choosing new imagery to promote a brand it’s vital to ensure it evokes what that brand is about. Fresh, colourful, dynamic, that’s how we see Hull and East Yorkshire. We chose the VHEY branding as it scores well on so many levels. Visually it’s positive and vibrant summing up how we feel about the area we live in and the area we know you will love to visit. The VHEY! brand

The newly-created Hull and East Yorkshire DMO requires a powerful new identity. An identity which encapsulates the vivid, diverse, often surprising assets the region has to offer. A brand that will underpin all destination marketing activity when delivering on its three year business plan.

VHEY! is that brand identity. Designed to reflect the essence of the modern Hull and East Yorkshire region, the brand is bold, confident and demands attention. The ‘HEY!’ icon dominates any piece of visual communication on which it is featured, whilst being sufficiently flexible to be applied across various marcomms applications.

The striking shades which make up the principal colour palette have been carefully chosen to represent the region’s primary assets. Blue represents the beautiful coastline of East Yorkshire, Green represents the rolling Wolds and countryside assets on offer, and Pink represents the vibrancy of the region’s modern towns and cities. The brand’s tone of voice is friendly, confident and engaging - ‘HEY! Visit Hull and East Yorkshire’ works both as a logo device and a call to action.
